These terms of use inform you of your obligations for using this service. By accessing and using this site, you accept the following terms and conditions, without limitation or qualification. Please ensure that you read through the conditions set out below which detail your responsibilities.

  • This service is designed to be secure and uses industry best practice controls and safeguards to protect your information. You are responsible for ensuring that you maintain the privacy of any account details including: - Username, Password or Access Code.
  • Once registered you must provide us with identity details before we will allow you to use the services for the first time. You must enter your identity details immediately after signing in, so we can identify you.
  • Every time you use our service you must give us your username, your password.
  • You can change your password online by following the instructions on the screen.
  • You must not write down, store (whether encrypted or otherwise) on your computer or mobile phone handset or let anyone else know your password, identity details or additional security details, and the fact that they are for use with your accounts.
  • You must not share your account details or password with anyone else
  • If you think that someone else knows your password you must do the following:
    • Change your password online as soon as possible. If you have difficulty changing your password, you must phone the Customer Support Team Helpdesk immediately on 01244 972827.
  • We may stop your use of this service if we believe that:
    • your identity details are being used by someone else or we are otherwise concerned about the security of your account;
    • we suspect your account is being used in breach of these conditions in an unauthorised or fraudulent manner;
  • We do not accept responsibility for any loss you or anybody else may suffer from failing to keep your account credentials secure.
  • Be aware of your surroundings and ensure that your access to this service is done in a safe manner.
  • Always log out when you are finished and do not leave the service logged in if you move away from the screen.
  • Ensure that you access the service from a secure computer and/or network.
  • You must not attempt to modify, adapt or hack the service.
  • You must not link to these pages from another Internet site or imply that it is associated with our Service or any other Latcham Direct service.

Steps You Can Take to Stay Protected

Here are some simple steps you can take to stay protected:

  • Create a strong password that:
    • Is at least eight characters long.
    • Does not contain your user name, real name, or company name.
    • Does not contain a complete word.
    • Is significantly different from previous passwords.
    • Contains characters from each of the following four categories:
      • Uppercase
      • Lowercase
      • Numbers
      • Symbols found on the keyboard (all keyboard characters not defined as letters or numerals) and spaces
  • Keep your browser software and operating system up to date.
  • Install antivirus software and ensure it is kept updated

  • Unless otherwise stated, the contents of this site including, but not limited to, the text and images contained herein and their arrangement are the property of Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester Council's under their shared service agreement (hereafter referred to as 'the Councils'). All trademarks used or referred to in this website are the property of their respective owners.
  • Links on this site may lead to services or sites operated by third parties. No judgement or warranty is made with respect to such other services or sites. A link to another site or service is not an endorsement of that site or service. Any use you make of the information provided on this site, or any site or service linked to by this site, is at your own risk.
  • This site and its contents are provided "as is" and we make no representation or warranty of any kind with respect to this site or any site or service accessible through this site.
  • The Councils and Latcham Direct shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses, resulting from:
    • the use or the inability to use the service;
    • unauthorised access to or alteration of your transmissions or data;
    • or any other matter relating to the service.
  • You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service without the express written permission of Latcham Direct.
  • Other than any loss occurring as a result of a breach under the Data Protection Act 1998, the General Data Protection Regulations 2016 and/or any other data protection legislation and statutory instruments in force from time to time under which you are entitled to exert your full statutory rights.

Security Controls

Site security is reviewed regularly and audited by external specialists. This includes security penetration and load testing and automated server port security scanning.

The site is protected using SSL Certificates signed by global leaders in security certificates, so all data transferred between the users and the service is encrypted.

We don't allow the browser to save your login. If you leave your computer unattended for an extended period, you will be automatically logged out.
